Headshots for Actors and Musicians
Many performers want their headshots to reflect a simple, natural approach to their art. Others prefer to show their more dramatic side. An in-depth consultation about location and the message to be conveyed is an essential part of my photographic process. We will also discuss clothing, hair and makeup needs.
Of course you want to look your best for the photo shoot, but the most important element in a good headshot is the expression of the eyes. A casting agent looks for that special glint that shows who you are and what you would be like to work with. Photos of pretty people with vacant eyes are just tossed into the Reject pile. During our session we will work together to achieve authentic expressions for a variety of images. Although there are exceptions, many actors' agents like to to see full-face images (some say with both ears showing). The image may be a closeup or three-quarter length, vertical or horizontal. I provide many choices of different views. Color is the norm now. I'd be happy to talk to you about the goals for your headshot.
