Marissa and I met near the Mass General Hospital Healing Garden, a lovely rooftop garden with an open view of the city. I photographed her inside with the nurses with whom she established a warm relationship during her treatment, but my favorite photo of her was taken in the garden. The intensity of her gaze draws me in, showing her strength and resolve as she embarks on a new life at college.
