Diagnosis: ATRT (atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor)
Michael has a glowing personality that permeated our entire photo shoot. During our session I shot many portraits of Michael on his own as he romped around his family home. But the image he chose (my favorite as well) was with his parents and siblings in their homey kitchen. "I want to choose the one with my family," he said. The photograph was made with a wide-angle lens at a wide aperture (f/2.8) to bring Michael into sharp focus with his family members behind him with a softer feel. The light came from the window on the left.
