Whether I am making a portrait for business, the arts, or a family, my goal is to capture the inner spirit of my subjects. A snapshot captures a moment in time, while a portrait reveals a person's essence. I work carefully with all my subjects-families, children, teens, actors, writers, CEOs, musicians, entrepreneurs-to create an atmosphere that allows them to show the camera who they truly are. This may mean traveling to someone's residence, workplace, or favorite park, or photographing in my studio. It means in-depth communication with my subjects to create an atmosphere for a portrait that evokes their true nature.
